The Court of Appeals heard arguments on Tuesday in a case brought by a sex offender who alleged the state did not do enough to help him find appropriate housing before his release from prison, which caused him to be held in state custody for several months after his scheduled release. Full Article

Good luck to him. Hope he also gets paid for every day over his sentence he spent locked up.

Congratulations, and thanks to the court of appeals for bringing sanity to this, if only a bit late. How sickening that he completes his debt to society and then is placed back in custody even though he did no crime, he had no control over the hysterical laws which corrupt politicians have enacted. where is the justice when a person is incarcerated for not doing a crime? A shout out to this man for his courage to fight the injustice, and I know how nearly impossible it is to try and fight from inside: outdated, old broken electric typewriters that half the time various keys don’t work, overpriced print wheels and correction tape, noise, constant interruptions, delays, non-cooperative staff and case managers, and you are fighting a system that has unlimited resources and staffing. To be victorious in that situation is truly admirable.
